Presence Film
The acclaimed director challenges his directorial skills through this clever ghostly tale filmed completely through the eyes of the phantom. When a household with Lucy Liu as Rebekah plus Callina Liang as Chloe occupies their fresh home, the lens – AKA the Presence – shadows their actions. Chloe seems sensing the ghostly being, and it seems protective of her. But why? The premise is enjoyable that doesn't outstay its welcome, including a revelation you might not see coming. October 11th, 4.35pm, 10.10pm, Sky Cinema Premiere

This Creepy Thriller
Derrickson's locked-room horror remains effective even without a follow-up. Located in 1978 Denver, several kidnappings has rendered the youth frightened. When Finney is kidnapped by “the Grabber” and held captive in a basement, he fears a fatal end. However, the non-functional line on the wall continues to ring, with spooky callers providing assistance, and the prescient dreams from his sibling Gwen may be his salvation. A genuinely scary movie. October 11th, late evening, Film4
The Eyes of Tammy Faye
In the conflict between God and Mammon, the winner is obvious for materialism in Michael Showalter's brilliantly over-the-top film adaptation regarding the shamed TV preacher and her criminal husband. Andrew Garfield portrays the corrupt Bakker, who declares at the beginning, asserting religious justification for riches. The couple commence profiting from the people's Christian beliefs. It's a riot of bad interior design, bad makeup and bad faith, yet Chastain manages to depict the real-life figure with compassion. Tuesday 14 October, 1.15am, the Film4 channel
